A new project in the tourism industry in our country is about to be brought into effect, in close distance from Athens. Companies of interests of Hong Kong, Macau and Canada are participating and aim at creating a multicentre on a large scale, which is expected to provide a major boost to Greece's tourism product.
According to information, potential investors have already come into contact with the Government and the Minister, Haris Pampoukis, but also the State Secretary for Tourism, George Nikitiadi, who encourages this investment. The area has a surface of 3.200.000 mē (or 790.73 acre), is owned by the Tourism Development Company, and is located in the region of Kamena Vourla.
The Health Solution Corporation wants to exploit this area with ambitious plans. According to the president and CEO of Health Solution Hellas, George Karoutzo, objective of the consortium is to construct a multicentre with hotels, medical centers and other facilities for medical tourism (since there are spas in the area), marinas, casinos and the intention of the investors is to combine all that with the expansion of the airport in Lamia, to a direct-and cheaper than the "Eleftherios Venizelos" - access to this new tourist centre.
