Private capitals from China, Russia, Arab countries, USA and Australia express interest in investing.

This year severe invest interest is shown from China, Russia, Arab countries, USA and Australia for our country,  to realize projects in growth sectors of the Greek economy, which have momentum despite the crisis.

As stated by the President of the Invest in Greece Mrs. P. Mpoufounou the unblocking of domestic and foreign investment of 2 billion at the Renewable Energy , which said the Deputy Prime Minister, will be followed by new initiatives to facilitate investment and other sectors. In particular, private capitals from these countries intend to invest in our country, either independently or in cooperation with Greek partners. The main areas of interest of foreign investors is tourism, Renewable Energy-waste management, information technology, biotechnology and food-drink indrustry with an emphasis on Mediterranean diet. At the end of the year, Mrs. Mpoufounou highlighted that it is estimated to have been initiated the disengagement of other projects, of which some might be in the tourism sector, where there are chronic backlog of foreign investment.

According to her, in the field of attracting foreign investment the carrier Invest in Greece follows a different approach, compared with the past. Thus, in a web application (e-book) there are available to foreign parties all new projects and activities of all ministries and public companies. Furthermore, this application contains all new activities of the municipalities (competitions etc.) and also configurable to

provide specialized information for each region of the country.
