Entering the main entrance, there is a bright and airy open plan area including a living room, armed with a fireplace which creates an atmosphere of warm and beautiful aura and a dining room.

Large picture windows and wide doorways open to the outdoors, flooding interiors with warm sunlight, fresh air and last but certainly not least, the views.

In the entrance hall, there is a hall cabinet of wooden sculpted pieces, an unusual place to hang your hats and coats.

There is also a bedroom with a vintage tile bathroom ensuite.

The kitchen is modernly designed and full-fitted with all the necessary electrical appliances you may need, such as built-in microwave, oven and fridge/freezer.

A magnificent wooden staircase leads to the first floor where there are four bedrooms with double beds, of which the master bedroom features an en-suite bathroom.

There is also a shared spacious bathroom with double sink countertop and beautiful design.

On the upper level, there is sofa bed area with a dining table which can be used as a fifth bedroom and a beautiful ceiling-to-floor library in the same style of wood that panels the staircase wall.

Although the inner rooms are extremely comfortable and a sanctuary to retreat to when the sun gets too hot, youll probably spend most of your time outdoors.

A place to forget everything, to relax and unwind watching the panoramic sea views or just sitting on one of the many patios enjoying the swathes of Lavender; herbs; fruit orchard and wrap around gardens.

You can also swing on the hammock under the old olive tree, taking a glance on his glorious past through history.

The villa has been restored with respect and love to original features, such as the grand wooden staircase leading up to a wonderful split-level living and dining area or the tiled painting of a landscape with castles in the master bathroom whose signature reads as Merlino.

In the center of the residence is an enclosed glass-arched courtyard which brings in the wonderful daylight but also good for stargazing on a clear night.

It is one of two that our guests can use and is on the way to beach so less than 5 minutes stroll.

It offers the great advantage of being a few steps away from the sandy beach, where you can have a refreshing dive and enjoy the famous Cretan sun, the best this land has to offer.

Moreover, Tavronitis village is a 3 minutes’ drive, where you can find all shops, taverns, coffee shops and supermarkets you may need.

Chania city with its most visited old town and picturesque Venetian harbour, is just 21km away, which is a 15-20 minutes’ drive more or less.

And for those who want to explore the islands around or other parts of the world, the airport is only 29km away.

The house is available for winter rental and until the end of February 2020.
