2021 the Greek-Chinese year of culture and tourism. “Greece will be an investments destination after the end of the coronavirus pandemic,” Chinese Ambassador to Greece Zhang Qiyue stated during an online event organised by the Athens Chamber of Commerce & Industry (EVEA).
The event held on Monday titled “Greece, an Emerging Investment Destination in Europe after Covid-19”, was co-organized by the China Chamber of Commerce to the EU (CCCEU) and the Hellenic Trade Council (HETCO).
“The fight against Covid-19 serves as a reminder to us all that we must be stay united and hold on to our cooperation,” Qiyue said, adding that “China is open to cooperation.”
China’s development policy for the coming years will focus on sustainable growth and will further promote both its domestic and foreign markets, as well as push innovations in science and technology.
Qiyue reminded viewers of “the win-win collaboration at the port of Piraeus.”
Next year Greece will celebrate the 200th anniversary of its War of Independence against the Ottoman Turks. 2021 has also been designated as the Greek-Chinese year of culture and tourism.
“We will explore further cooperation not only in traditional sectors such as shipping, transportation, energy, agriculture and food, but also in new areas such as services, green energy, innovations, e-commerce, smart infrastructures and health. I expect that our cooperation will be brilliant and constructive,” she exclaimed.
