A fantastic development building site close to Platanias village

Gerani is a small coastal village located 13 km west of Chania city, located between Maleme and Platanias. It is situated in a verdant valley with olive and citrus groves, that once were the main income source here; today tourism is the main growth factor.

The beach of Gerani has a length of 2.5 km and has lovely sand and clear water. Next to the beach, there are many touristic amenities, making it ideal for family holidays. There are umbrellas, showers, beach bars, water sport services, and lifeguards.

Gerani, although is not as much advertised as its neighboring Platanias in Crete tourist guides, has an equally wonderful beach. Gerani beach is sandy and has a length of about 2,5 kilometers, near which you can find plenty of trees and vegetation – after all, Gerani is a fertile agricultural village.

The beach of Gerani, Chania, is less crowded and quieter than the beach in Platanias, but in most of its great length, it is organized, with sunbeds, parasols, W.C., showers, etc. Near the beach of Gerani, there are plenty of cafés, bars, restaurants, taverns, shops, and mini markets.
