The Voulismeni Lake, the town’s jewel and one of the landmarks, is known for its many legends, according to one of Greek Mythology, Athena and Artemis are bathing in its waters. The sweetwater lake becomes one with the sea through a narrow canal and is surrounded by red rock formations and lush vegetation.
