This home has a unique architectural design which combines the stone arrangement of an old, simple architecture house dating back to 1870 with the owners need to daily feel the nature as being inside the house.

The final design lets the sound of rain, the first rays of the sun and the full moon of August inside the house.

Stone, metal and glass are used as structural components. These are materials from different ages used by the architectural team in areas reflecting different ages respectively.

The stone with the red soil joints is seen only in the old house that today constitutes the reception area of the dwelling.

The glass collects the rays of the sun in the bedrooms and separates the bathrooms, while the metal connects the old with the new by means of bridges.

Because of the small plot size, the circulation between buildings is developed in an horizontal and vertical manner via a wooden corridor and three iron staircases.

The plants chosen are from the Cretan nature as is the locust tree in the dining room casting its shade on the table during the summer months, while the aromatic garden on the first floor releases essential oils in the bedrooms for a light sleep.

This is a home Inside the city that makes you feel that you are Outside in nature.

Upon entering, there is the living room with a fireplace and an internal patio with sliding windows.

There is also a garden with an olive tree, a peach tree and seceral flowers.

The living room leads to the kitchen with a spectacular modern design and a lounge with a WC and shower.

Underneath the ground floor there is an underground wine cellar.

An internal bridge leads to a bright patio where an internal staircase ends up to the first floor.

This floor features two bedrooms.

A master bedroom with an en-suite toilet with a jet shower and a wardrobe room and a second bedroom with an en-suite toilet with shower.

There is also a verandah covered with a tent and a fireplace.

Another internal staircase leads to the second floor and the third bedroom with its own toilet and shower as well as fireplace.

On the homes third floor there is a roof garden with infrastructure for the creation of a BBQ, a kitchenette and a bar.

The most famous part of the Old Town is the lively round waterfront along the Venetian harbour, which is full of small hotels, cafes, restaurants, taverns and bars. The Lighthouse at the end of the harbour is a landmark of Chania.

Inside the "Old town" there are various districts. The Daliani district was a place where Turks used to live and the Dominican church of Saint Nicolas still remains. The Kasteli district used to be a noble district, where many mansions were located in the past. At the end of its central road, the "Sintrivani" square is located, where the gentlemen were gathered for coffee, walking or political conversation.
